The ballet-inspired capsule designed in partnership with Isabelle Mathers is almost here. En Pointe uncovers a world of feminine pairings - combining flattering and tailored activewear with soft leisure styles.

The En Pointe collection will feature 18 new styles, plus the highly-requested return of our Serenity Drawstring Leggings. These styles will be available across a range of four tones - classic black and white, as well as two new and limited edition neutrals (it is an Isabelle collection, after all). The endless set options exude effortless elegance made for confident movements.

We sat down with Issy to discuss her thoughts behind her third collection since her Creative Partnership, and why this is the most personal to her yet.

“I love the confidence you find in dance and how it makes strength look soft and effortless. It’s such a beautiful form of expression and way of learning what your body can do.”

CSB: Today is the 25th October, 2023 and we’re just weeks out from the launch of En Pointe - how excited are you for the launch?

IM: This collection has been in the making for over 8 months and I’m so excited it’s finally almost here to share with the CSB community. It definitely feels the most personal to me yet, with a big part of my life incorporated into the designs.

What inspired En Pointe?

I started ballet lessons when I was just 4 years old and trained until I was 16. After 8 years off, I felt myself drawn back to dance and fell in love with it all over again.

When I dance, I feel empowered, strong and feminine. I especially love the confidence you find in dance and how it makes strength look soft and effortless. It’s such a beautiful form of expression and way of learning what your body can do.

I wanted to build a collection that could, and would, make everyone feel this way too.

How would you describe the styles in the collection?

En Pointe is soft and feminine, functional and comfortable - with some pieces drawing from ballet and dance attire while others are some of my go-to everyday athleisure. I wanted to combine the elegant style of ballet with the supportive silhouettes of activewear into the designs.

We chose to have the active styles in the collection made with the Serenity fabric, which is a medium compression fabric that’s sculpting and smoothing. I think the finish of this fabric perfectly complements the designs, and pairs seamlessly with the new French Terry, Jersey and Cotton Knit styles.

Why did you opt for the four neutral tones with the collection?

I wanted the tones to feel soft and cohesive with the vision behind the designs. They’re for the girl who wants feel stylish in her everyday - plus I’m always a neutrals girl at heart.

Last but not least, we need to know what your top picks are from the drop.

My favourite pieces that will be staples in my wardrobe for a long time are the Turtle Neck Tank paired with the Lounge Flare Pants, the Plunge Longline Tank and the Halter Tie Tanks.

CSB X IM En Pointe Collection drops Wednesday the 8th of November.
